To many, home is not just haven for the soul, but also a gathering space for family and friends. Moments spent with friends over a cup of tea and some homemade snacks would be the most enjoyable ones. White is the basic colour for ground floor, the blue-colured photo wall next to living room neutralizing the monochrome of white hue. The marble-textured TV wall creates the layering while adding a tinge of warm feeling to the space. Open concept is adopted at ground floor with living room, dining area and dry kitchen in it. Located next to the glass window, the dining area and dry kitchen are designed with natural materials, enriching the visual effect while instilling a sense of freshness into the space – very inviting for a good session of afternoon tea on the weekend! In order to allow the owner and children to work and play together in the same space, an L-shaped table is placed in the study room. The closed style and hollow bookshelves are used alternately to create some interesting designs in this space, making the study room a fun place to be. We remain the existing wooden floor in the master bedroom. Wooden materials are used in the headboard as an extension from the floor, in which it also separates the bedroom from the dressing area. The designer boldly used brown-coloured glass to link the headboard, keeping the privacy of the dressing room while vaguely letting in the lights, giving the whole space a superb texture! The children’s bedrooms are designed based on their personality and preferences. Different shapes and lines are painted to create the playful space. The game room is divided into two areas of dynamic and static – the static area allows the children to collect their toys, whereas the dynamic area is designed into a camping theme with turf, tent and hanging chair so the children can enjoy the pleasure of outdoor camping at the comfort of their own home.
