Lead designer, space planning
A unique transformative space where function meets form in a 853 sq ft home. Practical planning, maximising efficiency and offering flexible solutions were paramount in ensuring that needs were not compromised, despite the compact floorplan.
The adaptive aspect of modern living inspires all elements; storage wherever possible, a generous walk in wardrobe and fully functioning bar/ kitchen counter, complete with retractable dining table.
Bold geometric shelving forms an expressive yet usable feature across the largest wall surface. Sliding panels enable hide and reveal when required between all rooms.
Three main layout options independently transform the entire space from work lounge to entertainment hub and home. Innovative design and multiple purpose furniture enable a variety of possibilities. Day mode allows plenty of light to flow through creating an open and inviting environment. The focus is the spacious living area for eight people and open study.
Entertainment mode sees a rearranged living area, making room for an eight seater dining table. Night mode the dining table is stowed away making way for a pull down double bed in the master bedroom, and a single bed in the study, changing it from day workspace to evening guest bedroom.
